CHAMBLEE, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - DeKalb County fire crews battled a massive fire at a former industrial plant on Wednesday afternoon.

DeKalb County Fire Department Cpt. Jaeson Daniels told Atlanta News First that crews responded to a two-alarm fire around 3 p.m. at the Manna Pro facility at the intersection of Chamblee Dunwoody Road and New Peachtree Road near American Industrial Way.

People are being warned to avoid the area. The City of Chamblee suggests using West Hospital Avenue as an alternate route.

Daniels said no injuries were reported and some workers saw the flames and were able to escape. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It is unknown what the building is currently being used for, however, it used to be a plant that made animal feed.

According to the city’s Twitter page, heavy smoke could be seen in the distance.
