ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Thursday will be a decent day with a blend of clouds and sunshine. There’s a low risk of any showers/storms during the day. The chance of scattered showers/storms increases to about 30% in the evening and overnight - especially in west Georgia. Highs will be about 80-85° on Friday.

Friday will be more humid, and there’s a better chance of afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s on Friday with clouds building by midday and the storm threat in the afternoon and early evening.

The Mother’s Day weekend is still on track to be warmer and mainly dry. An isolated shower/storm cannot be ruled out either afternoon, but there’s a better chance it will stay dry. Highs will be in the mid 80s on Saturday.

Sunday morning will feature temperatures climbing through the 70s into the low to mid 80s by noon. The temperature will continue to rise into the upper 80s to near 90 by late-afternoon.
