ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Clouds will gradually increase on Friday ahead of a front that will eventually bring showers and thunderstorms to north Georgia. It will be another relatively warm day. Lows will be in the mid 50s to near 60, and the high temperature will be near 80.

There is a low chance of a few showers/storms after 9 PM Friday - especially in west Georgia. Scattered showers/storms are possible after midnight, and the best chance of rain is between 5-9 AM Saturday. Skies will be clear pretty quickly late Saturday morning, and the weather looks decent in the afternoon. There will be a gusty 10-25 mph wind and the temperature will climb to the upper 60s to low 70s.

Saturday night looks clear and cool with a diminishing breeze. The temperature will fall to the mid-upper 40s by dawn on Sunday. The weekend ends with dry skies on Sunday and highs near 70.

Next week looks cooler and potentially unsettled in the middle of the week. There’s a decent chance we’ll add a First Alert for rain in the mid to late workweek.
